The Problem:
Ski handles have always been pretty much the same with regard
to the way they are tied. Holes are drilled through the ends
of the handle, the rope passes through the hole, and it is secured.
Because the ski line is flexible, the handle is free to pivot
about the point of attachment. This flexible attachment point
allows undesirable handle "roll-out". |

What is "Roll-out?"
Roll-out occurs when the skier just begins to lose his grip
on the ski handle. As he "let's go" with his thumb,
the handle has a tendency to roll off the fingers which further
"unwinds" the hand, reducing grip even more. It's easy
to experience roll-out, just grab any traditional ski line and
pull hard. Slightly loosen your grip and see how the handle twists
in your hand. This is "roll-out" and virtually every
handle on the market exhibits this twisting behavior. The result
is tired hands as you constantly re-grip to compensate for roll-out. |
As grip loosens, handle rolls slightly which tends
to unwind the hand even more.

With ARS, handle cannot roll out, feels more secure
and allows recovery from partial loss of grip.

The ARS Solution
With the Advantage Anti-Roll System (ARS)*, roll-out is eliminated
by attaching the ski line at two points on each end of
the handle instead of just one. With the line attached at these
points, twist is virtually eliminated. ARS gives the skier a
much firmer handle and allows for easier recovery from partial
grip loss. Every skier, from the seasoned tournament skier to
the weekend recreational skier will notice and benefit
from ARS. |
